    Front Range Beefalo

Polly Schaffer began raising beefalo at Two Bars Seven Ranch in 1992, as a result of her interest in her father's buffalo herd during the 1960's. The ranch presently maintains a herd of about thirty-five sturdy bison hybrid animals bred for their adaptability and lean meat.

The mission of Front Range Beefalo is to offer animal-conscious and health-conscious customers a nutritious meat choice.

We are a lifetime member of the American Beefalo World Registry (ABWR), and are in the process of obtaining certified organic status for our cattle. Our animals are completely free of antibiotics and hormones, and they spend their days in spacious mountain pastures fed by fresh water and native plants. They are gently handled from birth and are accustomed to people and horses, resulting in a herd which is calm, trusting, and under minimal stress.

Our select grade beefalo meat is USDA-approved and has superior nutritional value relative to standard beef. Front Range Beefalo meat is over 90% lean and, according to USDA sources, contains more protein, iron, calcium, and potassium than meat from ordinary cattle.

We offer a wide array of popular meat cuts to local markets, restaurants, and individuals. Below-market prices range from $4.50/lb for select ground meat to $12.50/lb for mouth-watering tenderloin steak. In most circumstances, we offer free local delivery.

Front Range Beefalo is located in Tie Siding, Wyoming, just past the Colorado border, approximately 26 miles south of Laramie. Polly Schaffer may be reached by calling (307) 742-6072 or emailing thebeefalogal@yahoo.com.
